John played several parts in this adaptation of JRR Tolkien's classic Lord of the Rings trilogy. He was the voices of Legolas, Faramir, Wormtongue and Mouth of Sauron. The production was broadcast on NPR (National Public Radio) in the United States.

It is available as a set of tapes or CDs, in a wooden presentation box. It can be purchased new from places such as Amazon.com on CD, the tape version is harder to find. It can also sometimes be found in the online auctions such as Ebay. It can also be bought directly from Mind's Eye (both CD and tape versions) :

The Lord of the Rings has been adapted for radio several times. It is currently being made into three films by Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema, with filming taking place in New Zealand. Among the cast are Sean Bean (Boromir), Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf), and Bernard Hill (Theoden).
