The Mark Taper Forum, in association with the A.S.K. Theater Projects and DreamWorks SKG will present the Tapers 12th annual festival of new play development beginning November 5, 1999.
Eight workshops, eight readings and two special events will be presented in open public rehearsals in the New Work Festival '99 through December 15. The events will be presented at The Actors' Gang in Hollywood and are free of charge. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The New Work Festival workshops will have two open public rehearsals each and are scheduled at 8 p.m.: "What Didn't Happen" by Christopher Shinn, Wednesday and Thursday, November 17 and 18; "
For 12 seasons the New Work Festival has created an environment where Los Angeles-based, national and international playwrights come together to experiment freely and develop their newest work, without production demands or critical review.
