What Didn't Happen

By Christopher Shinn

A late summer's evening.  A renovated country house in a depressed northeastern town.  A disillusioned actress.  A melancholy psychoanalyst.  And a shrewd young writer.  Dinner, drinks, politics and love.  Years pass.  History enacts a ghostly reunion.  A flickering light.  A mysterious child.  The future is rendered.
