John Vickery as Mr. Welles in Babylon 5

Welles is a co-director of the Ministry of Peace. He runs the NightWatch programme and has no qualms about who he betrays. He pressures Zack Allen to confirm that a Babylon 5 shopkeeper had said something which Welles considered "disloyal" to Earth. He also attempted to recruit Ivanova, offering her a much-desired starship command in exchange for information that she had access to in her capacity as second-in-command of Babylon 5. |
| Of course, Ivanova refused. Zack, however, felt he had to go along with Welles. He is scared that if he tries to leave NightWatch, he will be branded a traitor, and this fear is greater than the urge to stand up for what he believes to be right. Welles is a great manipulator of people, also evidenced by his attempts to manipulate Sheridan. A scarily convincing performance ! |
