Guest Characters. Long an opponent of Delenn and suspicious of her motives, during the last year Alyt Neroon developed a grudging respect for her. Delenn chose to trust Neroon because he was always motivated by what was right for his people. They secretly chose to end the Minbari civil war by luring Shai Alyt Shakiri into the lethal Star Fire Wheel with Delenn. When Delenn stayed within the Wheel to die for her people, Neroon sacrificed himself, calling on all Minbari to heed her message of peace.

No Surrender, No Retreat. To stop the Minbari civil war, Delenn invites Neroon to her ship. They agree to work together, despite their past differences. The religious caste members, concluding that Delenn will surrender to the warrior caste, plot to release poison into the ship's air. Lennier overhears and stops the poison. Neroon unexpectedly leaves the ship. On B5, Sheridan leads the League ambassadors into believing a threat is imminent so they will agree to deploy White Star ships on their borders.

No Surrender, No Retreat. Delenn offers the surrender of the religious caste. She challenges Shakiri to enter the Star Fire Wheel with her, where the caste of the one who dies will become dominant. When Delenn refuses to leave the Wheel, Neroon sacrifices his own life to save her. Delenn names a new Grey Council, giving the worker caste dominance. On B5, Lyta reluctantly agrees to sign over her body to Bester for research after she dies, so she can work again. William Edgars hires Garibaldi on personal retainer.
